If you have no idea who these deceptively motley looking men above are, then chances are that this site isn't what you thought it would be. However, if you have even an inkling of who they are, or feel their faces have engraved themselves as 'familiar' into your brain, chances are you are either already like me, or on your way. I am, simply, put a fan of The Beatles.

I was born on February 20th, 1984, which is four years after the violent death of who was to become my personal favorite member of my favorite band. Of course I didn't know it at the time. I am what some people would call a "second generation" Beatles fan. That is meant to imply that my parents introduced me to the music of the Beatles. Now my father owned Abbey Road and the White Album before I was born, but it was more a chance encounter with a raving Beatles fan at camp that turned me on. Sulin, if you're out there, thank you.

I can't say what appeals to me about the Beatles' music. I won't go off on some philosophical tangent on how it somehow speaks to me about my troubles and hidden anxieties. I don't know that it does. All I know is that I love their music very dearly, and am of the opinion that they helped take Rock and Roll from sugary three chord progressions to something deeper, darker, and more complex. I'm not a fan of three-chord-progressions or sugary rock-pop.

But chances are you didn't come to this site to read my mindless drivel about why I like the Beatles and who let me listen to what first. Being a child of the computer generation, and one with an artistic bent, I've decided to make a web site dedicated to the Beatles, and that's probably what you're here for. Please keep in mind with whatever you see that I am trying my best to produce a quality web site for the public of the world to enjoy. However, I am not experienced in web design or HTML coding, so the page may appear a little trite. I have no intention of slandering any of the Beatles, or their families, or anyone involved therein- this site is intended for information and enjoyment. That said, I hope you like the place. Thank you for visiting! --Jaina Winston
