![]() ![]() Plot: Yellow Submarine is an animated film which begins in the mystical realm of Pepperland. Pepperland is home to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, whose members bear a more-than-passing resemblance to the animated versions of the Beatles. But Blue Meanies attack Pepperland, and freeze all the people there in a musicless void. It is up to the Beatles, summoned by the legendary Yellow Submarine, to save Pepperland from the Blue Meanies and a lifetime of silence.
Best Scene Of The Movie: The Hey Bulldog sequence, just because that's an incredible song, closely followed by the only appearance by the actual Beatles, at the end.
Best One-Liner Of The Movie: "It's all in the mind." A la George. It's just classic. Simply classic.
Best Exchange Of The Movie: It's not really an exchange, but the bit where Paul, George, and Ringo are trying to free Sgt. Pepper's band, and John is talking about Einstein while Paul sings.
Most Embarressing Scene Of The Movie: The Only A Northern Song sequence. It's just flying body parts and music waves and oddness.
